Low Water Upholstery Cleaning

Many companies clean carpets, few specialize in upholstery cleaning. While the principles of removing soil remain the same, the approach and chemistry is vastly different.

Improper chemistry in carpet cleaning may be not be immediately apparent, while the same problem in upholstery cleaning can alter the feel of the fabric and even change its color. While carpet is made of only a few different types of fibers, upholstery fabric can be woven into literally thousands of different combinations. Therefore, the importance of experience and training in proper upholstery cleaning can not be overemphasized.

Your local Professionals use a wide variety of methods and chemistry to clean your upholstered furniture. Most fabrics, like most of our clothes, can be cleaned with water. The wet-cleaning method is very effective at removing stains. In upholstery cleaning, however, very little water is used so as not to affect backing materials. Moisture is only misted on to the upholstery fabric, then immediately extracted.

Some upholstery fabrics, such as Haitian cotton, respond better to lower amounts of moisture . For these fabric types we use a cleaning formula made specifically for this. Other fabrics, silk in particular are best cleaned, using dryer upholstery cleaning methods. All upholstery services can be performed right in your home.

Haitian Cotton Upholstery

Haitian cotton is a fabric with its own cleaning process. Haitian cotton is an upholstery fabric made from 100% cotton, grown in Haiti or India. The fibers are not thoroughly processed, leaving bits of cotton seeds stems and other plant components in the yarn. Theses specks of brown give the fabric its natural and rustic appearance. The yarns are thick, coarse and usually white, cream, or tan in color. Occasionally, they are dyed with colors such as red or blue or may be two toned. Haitian cotton fabrics are very susceptible to browning. In fact the spillage of plain tap water is enough to produce a brown discoloration. They cannot be dry cleaned because of the latex backing used, which dissolves under dry cleaning solvents. Since it cannot be wet or dry cleaned, a process was specifically designed to clean this fabric. It is very effective and completely safe. Ask your local Professional Upholstery Cleaner for a quote on your Haitian cotton cleaning today.

Microfiber furniture

Micro-fiber sofas and chairs have great things about them. Microfiber fabrics are stain-resistant and relatively easy to maintain. The type of material that comprise the microfiber fabric mostly are a kind of polyester that may leave no lint or dust after cleaning. Microfibers are very small strands of material that can be knitted or woven together, or made into non-woven fabrics. Microfiber fabrics are made from synthetic materials such as polyester or nylon, or a combination of both. Microfiber is lightweight, highly absorbent and does not stain or wrinkle easily. Microfiber fabrics that are electrostatically charged and can pick up small particles, such as dust, without the use of cleaning solvents, and leaves no lint behind. Microfiber fabrics should be washed in solutions that are free of oils, soaps and fabric softeners, since the fabric can soak up these additives, causing it to retain odors. This is where your hometown Professional Upholstery Cleaning Technician can be of help.

Professional Tile and Grout Cleaning in Granite Bay

So why would you have a professional clean your Tile and Grout  when you could simply use a mop in Granite Bay

Here’s why…

When using a mop you’re only cleaning the very top of the tiles, but remember you also spread dirty water over the tiles. Plus the tiles are porous, meaning they absorb the dirty water that your mop spreads around.

Having a professional to clean your tile and grout in your home twice a year will make a huge difference of your beautiful tile floors.

Specialized tile and grout cleaning equipment used by professionals actually uses high pressure and suction to blast hot water into the tiles and grout area, forcing the dirt out of the porous stone and blasting the dirt out…something a mop could never do.

Next time you need to get out your mop and bucket, give yourself a break and call your local Professional Tile and Grout Cleaner.
