Microfiber furniture

Micro-fiber sofas and chairs have great things about them. Microfiber fabrics are stain-resistant and relatively easy to maintain. The type of material that comprise the microfiber fabric mostly are a kind of polyester that may leave no lint or dust after cleaning. Microfibers are very small strands of material that can be knitted or woven together, or made into non-woven fabrics. Microfiber fabrics are made from synthetic materials such as polyester or nylon, or a combination of both. Microfiber is lightweight, highly absorbent and does not stain or wrinkle easily. Microfiber fabrics that are electrostatically charged and can pick up small particles, such as dust, without the use of cleaning solvents, and leaves no lint behind. Microfiber fabrics should be washed in solutions that are free of oils, soaps and fabric softeners, since the fabric can soak up these additives, causing it to retain odors. This is where your hometown Professional Upholstery Cleaning Technician can be of help.

Alternative Natural Carpets Roseville

Today there are a wide range of carpets and area rugs sold.
Many would go for cheaper choices of standard carpets, made of synthetic materials. Some people choose standard carpeting because they think it being more durable than natural materials. That is not the case.
Before buying your next standard wall-to-wall carpeting, consider a natural alternative for a better indoor environment.

Natural area rugs and carpets are made of fibers from naturally renewable plants, or wool.  Environmentally friendly as well as to your health. They are biodegradable and naturally stain resistant. Natural area rugs and carpets can even purify your home’s air by trapping hazardous contaminants from the air.

Most natural rugs and carpets are produced without using toxic chemicals.

Let your next carpet or area rug be a natural one.

Upholstery Care & Maintenance

The best way to start is to vacuum your upholstery regularly. If  dust and dirt is allowed to sit on the upholstery too long it causes soiling. By not removing dust on a regularly it tends to mix with body oils embedding itself into the upholstery fibers.

Bright and pale colors usually get dirtier much faster than darker colors and will need to be cleaned more often.

An excellent cleaning aid is carpet and fabric protector, by applying fabric protection on new upholstery or upholstery that is clean and in good condition you’ll protect it from spills and dirt particles getting inside the upholstery fibers.

When fabric protector has been applied there is much higher chance of getting your upholstery back to it’s original condition.

Always use a good quality fabric cleaning product and make sure if you have a spill that you clean it up as soon as possible.

Never rub the fabric to clean it, always use a damp cloth and a blotting action to soak up the spills. Make sure you use a proper upholstery cleaner not general purpose household cleaners that could contain caustics or bleaches which could damage to your upholstered furniture.

Before using any cleaning products including upholstery cleaners, you should find an inconspicuous place and check the upholstery for color fastness and surface changes. Let it dry and check that no changes in color have occurred and that the upholstery is in good condition.

Be sure you check the manufacturers cleaning and care instructions before proceeding.
